Immediate Volunteer Openings

Lobby assistant. Play a vital role in making The Raptor Center an inviting place to visit. Greet the public and provide information about The Raptor Center. When visitors come in for tours, programs, or meetings, direct them to the appropriate staff. Additional tasks include assisting with small administrative projects and merchandise sales. Hours: Volunteers commit to one four-hour shift per week (same day and time each week), for a minimum of three months. Shifts typically run 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Transport crew. Transport caged or contained raptors to and from TRC. Trips are typically to and from the airport, special events, or private homes where injured birds have been found. Hours: On call, as arranged by TRC staff.


Requirements
Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, have health insurance, be up-to-date on their tetanus vaccinations, and sign a health insurance waiver.
