Field Trip FAQs


What does a field trip cost?

  • $7.50 per adult
  • $5.00 per student or senior citizen
  • Children aged two and under are admitted free
  • For every 10 children, one adult is admitted free

What times are field trips available?

  Tuesday through Friday

  • 9-10 a.m.
  • 10:15-11:15 a.m.
  • 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  • 1-2 p.m.
  • 2:15-3:15 p.m.
  • 3:30-4:30 p.m.

  Saturday

  • 10-11 a.m.
  • 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  • 2:30-3:30 p.m.

  Sunday

  • 12-1 p.m.
  • 2-3 p.m.
  • 3-4 p.m.

Can we eat lunch at The Raptor Center?
TRC does not have space for groups to eat lunch inside. Students may eat bag lunches outside on the lawn as weather permits. Groups may eat at the St. Paul Student Center. For more information, go to http://www.spsc.umn.edu/.

What if we need to cancel?
Cancellations must be made in writing two weeks in advance of your program date. For cancellations with less than two weeks notice, a $55 fee will be charged.

Is The Raptor Center accessible?
Our building and most of the outdoor courtyard are wheelchair accessible. Tell us about special needs when you book your field trip.

Does The Raptor Center offer scholarships?
Yes. Please see our Access for All scholarship policy.

What group sizes can The Raptor Center accommodate?
Minimum group size: 12 people. Maximum group size: 90 people
