Peregrine Falcon Restoration in the Midwest

Plunging from tremendous heights, the peregrine falcon can reach speeds of up to 220 miles per hour in pursuit of prey and is a favorite of falconers and bird-watchers alike. Jackie Fallon of the Minnesota Zoo, a longtime volunteer at The Raptor Center, coordinates the monitoring of peregrine falcons in Minnesota for more than 40 nesting sites. Read about her field work with this amazing bird.
