Location of recovery: Clara City, Minnesota
Original problem: Andi is the largest and most powerful education bird at The Raptor Center. She was found on the ground during a blizzard in Clara City, Minn., in 1989. Unable to fly, she had a number of porcupine quills in her, and is thought to have collided with a powerline. She is blind in one eye and has a permanently disabled left wing.
