Corporate Sponsorships
Many local and national corporations choose to practice good citizenship by supporting The Raptor Center. Allied Barton Security Services, 3M, Peregrine Capital Management, and Porchlight Productions are four companies that have chosen to support TRC in four very different ways, defining themselves as good corporate citizens and leaders in their community. If your company is interested in connecting with your community on a deeper level by partnering with The Raptor Center, contact Sharon Staton, director of advancement, at 612-624-1247 or stato001@umn.edu.

Allied Barton Security Services
AlliedBarton Security Services, headquartered in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, is the largest American-owned and managed security services firm. Since 1957, AlliedBarton has provided quality security services and highly trained personnel to clients in a number of industries, including commercial real estate, higher education, health care, residential communities, manufacturing and distribution, financial institutions, shopping centers, and other commercial facilities.
At the ASIS International Conference in San Diego, California, Sept. 25-28, 2006, AlliedBarton’s government services booth featured education staff and bald eagles from The Raptor Center.

3M
3M is a diversified technology company serving customers and communities with innovative products and services. They are committed to actively contributing to sustainable development through environmental protection, social responsibility, and economic progress. 3M shows this commitment by investing in the communities where their employees live and work.
A longtime supporter of The Raptor Center, 3M donates many of the essential products used in our clinic. Most recently, they have provided a gift to upgrade The Raptor Center lobby. The lobby project will include displays about raptor biodiversity, the work we do in our clinic, and how visitors can protect our shared environment.
In addition, the 3M Company Foundation has found a unique way to give back to the east metro community where their employees live and work. For the past three years, they have sponsored our East Metro Raptor Release, an event where the public can spend the day learning about raptors and see rehabilitated birds released back to the wild. As a part of this program, 3M provides the funding for our winged ambassadors to visit local schools.

Peregrine Capital Management
|
|
 |
Peregrine Capital Management was established in Minneapolis, Minn., in July 1984. The founders' vision was to create an investment firm comprised of focused teams that would develop and grow their investment styles through an unwavering commitment to client success. They chose "Peregrine" for their name because of the energy, swiftness, and grace of the peregrine falcon, traits that are emulated in their business.
Peregrine Capital Management chooses to support The Raptor Center's education program in a different way. They sponsor the care and management of one of our education birds. You guessed it--a peregrine falcon! Artemis is a 4-year-old female peregrine who came to TRC last year from a falconer who could no longer keep her. At the same time, Peregrine Capital Management was celebrating their 20th anniversary. What better way to celebrate than by sponsoring The Raptor Center's newest education falcon? With 30 education raptors to feed and care for every day, it is wonderful to know that one has a special sponsor.

Porchlight Productions
Porchlight Productions is a local company with an environmental mind. Producers of the Milwaukee and Minneapolis Lake Home & Cabin Shows, they are a perfect match for TRC. Dave Greer, president of Porchlight Productions, knew that the TRC message and mission would resonate with his audience of lake home and cabin lovers.
"This partnership was more then we could have expected," says Greer. "The raptors were the hit of the show."
TRC conducted educational programs at both the Milwaukee and Minneapolis shows. Dave extended his connection with TRC this past winter by releasing a rehabilitated bald eagle back to the wild in February.
"It was an incredible experience, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!" he says.
