Basic Raptor Rehabilitation Workshop
The 2013 Basic Raptor Rehabilitation Workshop dates are Tuesday, April 30 - Friday, May 3.

This four-day intensive workshop will provide rehabilitators and veterinarians with practical knowledge of the steps involved in raptor rehabilitation. Highlights include: - A six session on-line preparatory course accompanies this workshop and must be completed prior to attending
- Hands-on learning with our expert staff in our internationally renowned clinic
- Participation in pre-release conditioning and assessment
- Meet veterinarians Dr. Julia Ponder, Dr. Patrick Redig, and Dr. Michelle Willette
This workshop is four full days, with each day starting at 8:30am and ending at 5pm. Lunch is included each day. Please note special dietary restrictions when registering. Workshop Topics (subject to change) Tuesday, April 30, 2013 - Avian anatomy and physiology/Necropsy

Friday, May 3, 2013 - Medical care (hands-on)

- Pre-release assessment (flight evaluation, live training, etc)
- Release planning (location, time of day, time of year)
- Orphan care
Postconference Activity: TRC’s spring public bird release is on Saturday, May 4 from 11-2pm. This is a family oriented educational event at which rehabilitated raptors will be released to the wild. Cost: Registration $750 Lunch for all four days is included in the registration fee. Please note in detail any dietary restrictions. Lodging, transportation and evening meals are the responsibility of the participant. The conference hotel is the Ramada Plaza in Minneapolis. There is a shuttle service to/from The Raptor Center, and from the lightrail to get to the airport and to Rosedale Shopping Center.
